Dr. Issaka serves as a key member of the colorectal cancer screening workgroup of the statutorily mandated Bree Collaborative. This workgroup proposes evidence-based recommendations to (1) change Washington State's healthcare purchasing guidelines and (2) develop general recommendations to improve patient health, healthcare service quality and the affordability of healthcare in Washington State.
Dr. Issaka served as Measure Steward for fecal immunochemical test (FIT) follow-up in California safety net hospitals for the California Public Hospital Redesign and Incentives in Medi-Cal (PRIME) program. Cal-PRIME is a pay-for-performance program in which California’s public health care systems and District and Municipal Hospitals are using evidence-based quality improvement methods to achieve ambitious performance targets and improve health outcomes for patients.
